Many people ask me,” where can I find free antivirus software.” The easiest and fastest way to find free malware removal software is to simply do a search on Google. Type in something like, “free antivirus software,” and click on the links.

A lot of companies offer both paid and free versions of their security software. Most of these software suites are good but some can be a real drain on your system resources and some should be completely avoided.

AVG is one of the most reputable and better known internet security providers online. In my humble opinion they offer one of the best security suites out there, and it’s completely free. Version 8 provides a multi faceted approach to online security with your web browser even alerting you to dodgy websites!

The AVG link scanner will actually alert you to sites that it considers a threat to your online security. It does this by showing different icons that tell you whether its safe for you to proceed or not. These icons are shown in your browser when searching for specific items or keywords.

The problem of, “rogue software,”seems to be on the increase. This type of software once installed on your PC or laptop can install spyware, viruses and all sorts of nuisance malware.

The link scanner from AVG which is installed into your browser comes in really handy to help prevent this from happening. It should keep you away from sites that may try and trick you into installing their dodgy software. This kind of web surfing software has been around for quite a while although not many end users are aware of it.

McAfee, one of the better known providers of internet security packages made this kind of technology widely popular. Ok so its obvious that AVG is at the top of my list for free antivius software but they are not the only kids on the block.

There are others like Avast and Avira, which seem to have a good reputation and are used by many to protect their systems from worms, viruses and all types of malware infection.

Hopefully I have answered the question, “where can I find free antivirus software” to your satisfaction. Next step is to spend a little time on your favorite search engine and choose your own or follow my lead and make AVG your first choice.

As the demand for rent-a-cops and armed guards rises, the armed personal security industry booms. Only 50 years ago, were gated communities in the United States (and most of them in Beverly Hills), but nowadays, they’re more prevalent than ever.

Some people with money demand security for their family 24/7. Rather than keeping a weapon in their home for armed personal security, which might end up being misused, they live in a gated community that provide armed personal security guards.

Big Money

The world’s third fastest growing sector, the armed personal security industry was triggered by public outcry on violent crime. In fact, the industry is measured in the trillions of dollars.

Furthermore, there are more than 20,000 armed personal security companies in the world.

Regulation

Due to the industry’s rapid growth, federal and state regulations will be present soon. Moreover, statistics experts state that the armed personal security industry will hire the most number of people by the next decade.

The public voices certain concerns: that this mostly unregulated private sector does a poor job of training, paying, and screening these uniformed and armed guards.

In addition, most guards can only observe, report, and attempt to deter crime; they cannot, however, use force or make arrest. The public, however, usually change their behavior upon the sight of armed security personnel.

Briefly stated, the industry started out with barons trying to wipe out unions using guards provided by the nation’s oldest security firm, Pinkerton.

The firepower used to strike workers at Carnegie’s Homestead steel plant in 1892 was provided by Pinkerton.

Security in the home is at risk especially during hotter days when people become more careless. In fact it is surprising how careless people are when it comes to home security. People still leave spare keys under the mat, above the doorframe or even under a plant pot next to the front door. Leaving a key outside your door like this is highly irresponsible and may even in some cases invalidate any insurance cover you think you have.

It’s a hot day and like millions of people you open a few windows but make sure you close them before you go out. Even if you think you will only be five minutes think about how much a thief could steel in that time. The last thing you want to do is return and find someone in you home.

It’s amazing what garden furniture and gardening equipment costs if you were to add it all up you will be surprised at what the replacement costs would be. Don’t leave it in plain site try and move it behind a wall or bushes. Make sure gardening tools are locked away as these could be used to break-in to your home.

A really simple door announcement system would provide a cheap and simple alarm system. These alarms come in two different types, one is connected to the door and every time the door is opened the connection is broken and the alarm goes off. The other is a small battery operated motion sensor alarm which I belive is the better of the two.

This motion sensor can be places in a hallway, at patio doors or even slightly away from the door so that the children can come and go into the kitchen for drinks but if anyone went into another part of the house the alarm would go off.

You can quickly and easily set up a mini motion sensor alarm and as it is battery operated there is no wires or need to find an electrical socket. Normally these alarms come with two settings including a simple chime so that you know someone has passed or a continuous alarm sound to warn you.

Another great way to use these mini sensors is on vacation so you know someone is not in your room whilst you are asleep. The last thing you want is to wake up with an intruder standing over you.

Don’t give a thief a chance, remember most crime is of an opportunistic type and if you don’t give them the opportunity then you are less likely to be a victim. Crime prevention is the best option so contact your local police department for further advice.
